Ann Elliott Cutting Photography, Owner June 1987 – Present    Award winning full service photography studio specializing in concept advertising, lifestyle, editorial and still life. Faculty  Art Center College of Design  2000 – Present   Associate Professor in Photo Department, Instructor for Photo Production, Composition and Final Crit class. Instructor of conceptual photo class. Served on Scholarship Review, Department Chair Search Committee, Art Center Assessment Liaison and Curriculum Committee. Co-taught graduate level image strategist pilot program “Creative Disruption” guiding students collaboration with non profit sector.

Research Assistant, Dept. of Biology Caltech  1985 – 1996, 2013-2017   Molecular Biology and cloning techniques. Creation and screening of cDNA, genomic and high density robotic array (Qbot) libraries. In situ detection and cloning of sequence specific DNA binding proteins in S. purpuratus sea urchin. Micro injection of fusion gene constructs into sea urchin eggs. DNA cloning, sequencing, PCR, recombineering, invitro transcription, translation, gel shifts, Northern, Southern and Western blots. Polyclonal antibody production to native protein and synthetic peptide antigens. Nano string and qpcr. Development of high through put screening for gene regulatory networks. Maintain Bac libraries.

Research Technician, Dept. of Basic and Clinical Research Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation.   1980 – 1984    Cloning of retroviral vector system for enzyme replacement therapy, retroviral expression in embryonal carcinoma cells, cloning and characterization of beta-glucosecerebrosidase gene (Gaucher's disease), protein purification and enzymatic assay. Molecular biological techniques, reverse transcriptase assay, tissue culture, fractionation of whole blood, hemoglobin and hematocrit determination.
